Barringtonia acutangula supplied from Thailand for landscape projects. Tolerates seasonal flooding, for lake edges, wetland margins and retention basins.

A medium tree of riverbanks and seasonally flooded ground, carrying long pendulous racemes of red flowers that open at night. The species to specify where a site is wet, or floods, and most other trees in this catalogue would fail.

Waterside and lake-edge planting, retention basins, wetland margins, and low-lying areas subject to seasonal flooding. Also used ornamentally where the hanging flowers can be seen from below or across water.
Its particular strength is tolerance of wet feet, which few trees in this catalogue share. Specified for waterside and seasonally flooded ground, it performs where most alternatives cannot.
